Autopilot deployment profile and AAD group

Hello, I have an autopilot profile assigned to an Azure AD group, but when a new device is added to Intune how does it know to run the profile if it’s new and doesn’t exist in the group?

 

Is the only the Answer To use dynamic AAD groups (adding a ‘group tag’ to the autopilot .csv)?

Is is possible with assigned groups?
