Ditto Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 I'm interested to hear opinions from anyone who has used Moodle and G Suite, especially Google Classroom. How do they compare? If you've migrated from one to the other, I'd be especially interested to hear your thoughts.

If you've migrated from one to the other, I'd be especially interested to hear your thoughts. They're very different. Moodle is a fully featured, fully configurable LMS. Google Classroom is a classroom collaboration tool. They really don't compare. I'd say their case uses are very different, and the costs associated with each will reflect that. You'll need to self-host or pay for hosting Moodle and pay for support which may cost a lot more than Classroom support options would. It really depends what kind of school is using it, what software they use etc. Where Google Classroom really benefits is the Google Workspace integration for documents (which you can do with Google Assignments and Moodle now too, to be fair) 1
Ditto Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 Thanks. The scenario is a large 6th form college doing mostly A levels, but also BTECs, a few GCSE's for retakes and a small number of other qualifications. Currently on the Microsoft stack.
