I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but I'll post anyway:

We have a bunch of Ergo Hybrid 101 devices that are gathering dust, and we want to deploy them out to students as Intune devices. Our issue is that these devices all have the same serial number of: "Type1 - 123456789", with a separate sticker with a unique serial number on the chassis.

The BIOS is extremely limited and doesn't even display the serial number, let alone have an ability to change it. I've gotten the serial number from however the BIOS exposes it to the OS, so via Powershell or similar.

Is it possible to change this serial via a tool of some sort?

If you can figure out what manufacturer made the BIOS (AMI, Insyde, Phoenix etc) you may be able to get hold of the tools to change it.

For Autopilot: I think intune uses other bits to calculate the hardware hash rather than just the SN. Is the hash produced by Get-WindowsAutoPilotInfo.ps1 the same on multiple devices?

In all honesty, those hybrid tablets are good for one thing; converting to Chromebooks. I *might* consider putting 10X on one as a trial but we've pretty much written them off. I've also tried changing the serial number and drawn a blank, it just wasn't economical to spend the time on them.
