fiza Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Way back in 2018 the DfE announced that they didn't need Nationality and Country of Birth recorded and SIMS had a routine to remove these. At the time as it was a new option we didnt take it but now SLT want to remove this data. I remember there were a couple patches that Capita had to apply to enable the removal but I would guess subsequent updates added this functionality anyway? Did any on run the deletion routine? Any gotchas? Thanks
ajp233 Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Think you will still to apply the patches: Patch 24433 - Deletes the National Identity for ALL past, present and future students including applications. Patch 24372 - Deletes the Country of Birth and where present the Nationality for ALL past, present and future students including applications 1
AdamV Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 You might also want to look at patch 24423 which deletes records of "Proficiency in English". This is no longer required to be collected but the DfE does not say that you *must* not collect or process it as they do with Nationality and Country of birth. Also review your annual data collection process - not much help deleting all this data if you send home a paper form once a year that appears to ask for it all over again!
