How To use Teams to meet all students

Hi All,

 

I have being asked to investigate how Teams works for meeting with participant of 250 users.

 

the head would like to use to meet all students in the group.

 

not sure if im correct but the limit on participant in single meeting is 300. is this correct?

how is everybody else's experience, if you have used Teams, not live events, as the school have the microsoft365 for education A1 license.

can i use existing or distributed or security group to add the students in the meting, or best to create microsof365 group and then add the students in that group.

 

want to know as much as i can, as testing this would be difficult, also any back up plan if that fails?

Are they wanting to meet and greet each student or just have all in one place for a Head's talk"?

 

If it's just a presentation, Live Events is still running with A1 at the mo, that will do it for you, although an A3 license is only £20 for a year (only the Producer needs an A3 license...)

yes it is for the head to hold online assembly.

Thank you for this, i will check on Live Events if it can be available, thought the whole school need to upgrade.

I checked with Microsoft and they told me there is as some technical issue where A1 licence are not able to get live event and that this could take some time to get resolved. He also mentioned that if i get A3 licence now we can go back to A1 once it is fixed and could get some or all of the cost refunded back.
