Google Classroom showing owner's name wrong

In our Google Classroom all the files which are created by the class teachers strangely show the owner's name as another adult in that class not the teacher itself. What i noticed that in only one GC file ownership is showing the teachers name. the difference is that the teacher's name is on the top in the people tab. So it seems like which ever adult's name is on the top in people's tab the file ownership takes that name.

Can anyone suggest the reason for this and is there any solution to rectify this?

Does it take name from the class owner perhaps rather than a staff member?

how do we know who is the owner? our users are synchronized from MIS system
