Jobos Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Our MS licensing period runs from 1 January to 31 December. I'm in the MS VLSC portal and have clicked on Licenses > Relationship Summary > clicked on current agreement number > Order Confirmation > Reseller Order Number. There are 3 part numbers and product descriptions listed which match what we ordered but the quantity and license count are both zero. Previous agreement numbers show the correct quantities. Searching through MS licensing emails I have 2 that are of interest. First one is 23/1/20 from EC VL Unified Notification with the usual info about the order showing the coverage period from 1 Jan until 31 Dec. The second email is 12/3/20 again from EC VL Unified Notification and looks almost identical to the first except in the quantity ordered column there is a minus sign next the the numbers. The help text says If a minus quantity is stated in the Quantity Ordered sections below, this means that we have reduced your previous order by the number of licenses reflected. Please refer to VLSC for the updated summary of all your Licensing Enrollment details. Digging on the internet shows the company we bought from was sold in February this year and Companies House shows the accounts overdue with 'active proposal to strike off'. We have done business with the original company for years so this comes as a surprise and now I'm getting worried thinking when the company was sold they cancelled our licenses and got a refund keeping the money. Can they even do that?
johnlevis Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Hmmm, that doesn't sound good but you never know with Microsoft licencing. If you want to give me call/email we can check if your agreement is still valid and you can decide how to proceed from there John John Levis | Software and Solutions Specialist Tel: 0114 321 8609 [email protected] very-pc.co.uk 2
