TechMonkey Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Hi all. Our Accounts server with Sage 200 on is one of the last servers to upgrade to 2019. I really don't want to have to call the support company and get them to reinstall Sage (as apparently we aren't trusted to click next) on to a new server as negotiating between them and the Accounts department is a Herculean task I'm not sure I have in me at the moment. So I did an inplace install and the server side worked perfectly, the only thing to break was that the IIS config is almost completely wiped out in the transition to IIS 10. I had a snapshot so no harm, no foul but wondering if anyone knows of a way to export the config? All my Google foo just points at cross server migration, so IIS 8 to IIS 8. I'm starting to think I may have to take a copious number of screenshots and then just go through manually implementing the settings. TIA
MartinByard Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 A quick google suggests MS's Web Deploy application might be able to do the job. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39277 1
TechMonkey Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Thanks, that seems to be to transfer to IIS8, I'll see if I can find out if it is IIS8+
MartinByard Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 The site i found it on was transferring iis 7.5 to 10, so its possible MS haven't updated the documentation for it .. https://www.assistanz.com/steps-to-migrate-the-websites-from-iis-7-5-to-iis-10/ 1
