Exchange 2016: On-Prem Archives to Office 365 Archive

Hi,

 

We have a few users with On-Prem Archive mailboxes and i would like to move them to Office 365 Archive. We have Hybrid setup and we can set users who havent got a Archive mailbox to create a Archive mailbox on Office 365. (I have done this to my self and it has created a Office 365 Archive mailbox - I didnt have a On-Prem archive mailbox)

 

How easy is it to move users that has a On-Prem Archives to Office 365?

No harder than a single move. I recall that if you have an on prem mailbox and a cloud archive you need to do the move via powershell but otherwise plain sailing.
