icemonkey Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 (edited) We have around 20-25 iPad Mini's (1st gen) in school which are now too old to load most newer apps, they're running iOS 9.something. They're not used for anything more than cameras these days but I'm looking at options for getting them used a bit more, mainly by staff on patrol calls or using with Jamboard for remote lessons. Has anyone had any experience with companies who would take them in and either refurb them for us or issue a credit note to spend on devices that have already been refurbished devices? I'm not too bothered about going for a better model, just interested in ideas! We also have around 10/12 mid-2010 iMacs that I'd be looking to do something with! Guest Guest Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 According to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad_Mini_2 the mini 2 supports 12.4.8 which supports most current apps
icemonkey Posted September 26, 2020 Author Posted September 26, 2020 My mistake they're 1st gen (A1432)... Initial post updated
Brimstone Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 There’s plenty of AAES resellers offering trade in for older iPads......
paulkerton Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 or issue a credit note to spend on devices that have already been refurbished devices? For the first gen iPad Mini I would expect most of these companies would offer to recycle them for free for you, but not offer much else.
