Setro Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Hi All, Using a VM to practiace an upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10. When opening the command promt as Admin and typing the following "start /wait setup /auto upgrade/quiet /noreboot /dynamicupdate disable /compat scanonly" It starts setup and copying temprary files, then I get a windows popup with the following error message,"An unknown command-line option [/auto] was specified." Anyone know how to resolve this? Kind regards, Setro
Steve21 Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 If you manually run setup and try to upgrade what's it say? Could be a whole lot of things like it's not a valid path you're doing upgrades in etc Steve
Jay241 Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I don't know if this is the case, but I am very much aware that sometimes in command line for anything to do with W10, if you have spaces between the words for a switch it does complain. I must also admit that i dont know if there is any other switch that could be used as a replacement.
BOOT Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I use: /auto upgrade /DynamicUpdate disable /Compat IgnoreWarning /quiet /noreboot
