Hi All,

Using a VM to practiace an upgrade from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10.

When opening the command promt as Admin and typing the following "start /wait setup /auto upgrade/quiet /noreboot /dynamicupdate disable /compat scanonly"

It starts setup and copying temprary files, then I get a windows popup with the following error message,"An unknown command-line option [/auto] was specified."

Anyone know how to resolve this?

Kind regards,

If you manually run setup and try to upgrade what's it say? Could be a whole lot of things like it's not a valid path you're doing upgrades in etc

I don't know if this is the case, but I am very much aware that sometimes in command line for anything to do with W10, if you have spaces between the words for a switch it does complain.

I must also admit that i dont know if there is any other switch that could be used as a replacement.
