jmshillito Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 I have modified the Data Collection report in SIMS and used a mailmerge template so I can email to parents. It cannot deal properly with the linked contacts, which are sub records of the main (primary) email address I am sending to - e.g. 1 child might have 3 linked contacts, another might have 6. I would like all the linked contacts to be shown on the one data collection sheet sent to the primary email of the parent: (See attachment) - does anyone have any ideas apart from using Excel? John
samct6 Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 I have never managed to figure this out. Did you manage to find anything to do this? We have the same problem with our yearly confirmation of staff info. Multiple cars create multiple blank pages for one user.

We have the same problem with our yearly confirmation of staff info. Multiple cars create multiple blank pages for one user. The RTF report works fine, either from REPORTS, or (for individual students) from Linked Documents. I tried converting the RTF to mailmerge but it needs to use a NEXTIF record rule, which involves using a different dataset (I believe). I am going to create an Excel file and try to merge against student ID for the NextIf rule.
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 The way I deal with this issue, is to create separate entries in the report and filter them for each priority (assuming you have assigned unique priorities to each contact), that way all the data comes out in 1 record and Word can deal with the results more easily.
