SCCM - ADR for updates - Combined or Separate??

In the process of reinstalling SCCM as part of OS update and partly because it needed updating and tidying etc...

 

ADR rules for updates - combine them and have 1 ADR for both Windows & Office updates or have separate ADR rules for Windows and Office updates?

Personally separate, not only is it easier if you change versions in future but can also target office updates for MIS users etc if they need it quicker or slower etc

Use to have them separate but wondered if there way any benefit of combining them.

The only real benefit is lazy management wise One place to update/tweak

 

Unless you have hundreds of ADR/SUGs, the few downsides like sequential processing etc shouldn't really affect anything, but the benefits are better focus/control, also SUGs used to be limit to 1000 updates (if you're updating rather than recreating them), not sure if that's still the same or not, but depending how many you have you might hit problems long term wise, especially if you still use 7/8 alongside 10
