Progresso Timetable Integration

Hi there,

 

I extracted a timetable and have worked on it in scheduler, but now I can't integrate it back in. I keep getting an error message saying I have integrated this file previously so I can't do it again.

 

I am scared to re-set the extraction as don't think I will then be able to integrate.

 

Can anyone help?

I really hope someone has a better fix for this because I know firsthand how annoying it is. Last time it happened to me the only solution was to extract a new file from Progresso then manually redo the changes in scheduler. I got a colleague to help by having the unusuable scheduler file open on a different machine and we just went through all the differences.

 

I know it's f%&$*ing annoying but I don't think there's any way round it. The issue is the stupid way Progresso keeps track of the timetable as a series of changes rather than a simple list of what periods are happening when.

 

I haven't used Scheduler for a couple of years though, so if you've got time maybe hold out or try calling the helpdesk to see if a better solution has come along? Is it possible to export/import the list of events from autoschedule?

That's extremely annoying. Could they explain where things went wrong so you can avoid the issue in the future? I only had a short time working with scheduler and timetabling in Progresso. In that short time, I learnt you needed to be really careful with the sequencing of the steps. If you are the only one working on it, life is simpler, but I had to coordinate with the head and keeping track of file versions was critical. I do know the head got in a pickle once and had to redo a bunch of work.
