Windows Firewall settings

I'm trying to set up a program called Jamulus at home, which should allow me to have live music practice sessions over the internet. It's a server client model; I will run the server on my PC and everyone else connects to it as clients.

 

It needs access to specific ports - the instructions say 22124 UDP. I have set up Port Forwarding on my router (BT HomeHub 6 - no comments please!) device specific and in the range 22122 to 22125. I've also attempted to set up rules in Windows Firewall. With the Windows Firewall for Guest or Public Networks turned off, this works, so it looks like the router settings are correct.

 

When connected, in the client I see connected to 10.28.36.252 (where 10.28.36 is made up, but matches my public ip and 252 is real). In the server, I see connection from 10.28.36.252:22134

 

My rules in Windows Firewall are:

Inbound: Profile - All;Enabled - Yes; Action - Allow; Override - No; Program -C:\... jamulus.exe; Local Adddress - Any; Remote Address - Any; Protocol - UDP; Local Port - 22122-22125; Everything else set to Any

 

What am I doing wrong?

I could cry.

 

I've been playing with this for two days. I tested it 10 minutes ago and it didn't work. I posted this and now its working. I haven't changed anything - only positive is that it proves that Edugeek is magic!
