Letterheads in Google Docs

In MS Word we have a Letterhead Template that has our School logo and Head Teacher details. We use this to send out letter to parents etc.

I tried to convert this into a Google Doc but it only appeared as a blank sheet when converted, the logo and other details disappeared. The logo and details are basically an image which is added as a background to the template. I cant seem to do the same in Google Docs. I added the image to the blank sheet but then you cant type over the image!

Does anyone know how I can get the Letterhead template into Google Docs same as it works in MS Word? @Zoom7000 @rogerdnixon

Thanks. I did come across that article when searching but as mentioned our letterhead logo and signatures are an image which MS Word let's you use as a background. Same doesn't apply to Google Docs. In Google Docs once you apply an image you can't write on it.
