Help on OVS Licencing

Our OVS licencing is up for renewal soon (was a 3 year agreement) and I'm having problems getting clear answers on pricing and what is included on new quotes. We have been paying £3K a year for the last 3 years. I've had 2 quotes so far, one for just over £4K a year and another for just over £14k for 3 years. Both have asked how many staff over 200 hours a year are in school (we have 70) and based the quote on that. When I ask if the agreement covers all versions of W10 (EDU, PRO, LTSC etc) and office they don't seem know (yes I think so isn't good enough). Can anyone give me a rough figure of what we should be paying and what is included in an OVS subscription. School won't be too please if I get this wrong!

I would say it should cost ~£4200 +Vat per year to cover the desktop pack. Office 2016+, Win 10 Edu and Windows Server client cals.

 

I’d have to check what our vlsc shows but I’m sure that Win 10 Pro and LTSC we’re also included previously.

Pro and Edu out of the box, some people on here have had to ask for Enterprise and LTSC be added, but have got them with varying amounts of hassling.

Check to see if it works out cheaper to seperate the desktop pack as there may be some products you don't use. For us we are looking at saving ~£650 per year.

 

Another option is to move to another license provider if you aren't getting the answers.

 

We have licenses for LTSC, education and enterprise. I'm sure i had to request the LTSC license from MS via quick email to them / phone call to get them added to my agreement.
