Hi;

I will get the exact details later but in the mean time I am trying to research a technology solution for the Nursery, in our two form entry Primary School.

They have a Samsung Interactive Smart Screen (model number to be supplied) which is currently connected to a Fujitsu A512 Windows Laptop.

We are going to move and lower the screen to make better use of its interactivity but rather than tether a Laptop to it and ergo the teacher (which is not befitting of a Nursery environment), I am seeking a mobile solution.

We have staff iPads and was considering possibly a hardware streaming solution such as an Apple TV, however I need this to be two way, e.g. stream from the iPad to the screen (whatever web resource of app the teacher is using) but be able to respond to screen touches? Is this possible and is so how?

We have three other Samsung Screens (varying models) and they are massively under used (e.g. only used as a display) I am aware that they can do so much more but where could I find some guidance?

Many thanks for your help and advice oh learned ones :-)

1. You need to check that any Airplay solution is compatible with the screen.

2. You don't have to buy an Apple TV to mirror the iPad screen to the Smart Screen, you can use AirServer which is software you install on the existing laptop, once connected to your wifi the iPad can see the laptop name and connect oto it. see link here..https://www.airserver.com/WindowsDesktop

3. Airplay does not give you 2 way interaction, all this is doing is mirroring the screen of the iPad to another screen.

Hi;

We have been doing a Win10 upgrade at school so last week I went into the Nursery as it was empty and checked out the screen.

The Samsung Screen has built in Mirroring however as the OS is (I believe) Android based it is not compatible with IOS.

I also had a chat with our IT service provider and they also said that using these Screens, to their knowledge there is no way of two way interaction. We don't want to tie a Laptop to the device so will need to look for something smaller? Then we could use Team viewer on the device to share the screen (and control) from the iPad.

We already have AirServer and use it in all of the other classes.

Many thanks
