ScholarPack have sent out an email stating their system can now record and report on Keyworkers and Vulnerable children.

Is this something that DfE / Ofsted are asking us to do as a legal requirement or is this ScholarPack just giving their users the option to report on this data.

We use Bromcom so are wondering if this affects all MISs.

just a convenience thing as far as I'm aware - the DFE requirement is purely numbers of students and they have provided a simple spreadsheet to help you tally that. We've done it to ensure we can easily message, mail etc those parents who are currently sending (or eligible to) their kids to school but there is no requirement for this info to be stored in your MIS.

Bromcom themselves issued some instructions how to do this . . .

There are a lot of support documents on the Bromcom support website specifically for Bromcom customers to help at these challenging times including bulk attendance entry, reporting FSM and as mentioned by DODICT setting up and recording Key Workers.

They are also allowing free access to their Student and Parent Portals until the end of the year to support home learning.
