Intune Deployment

I seen lots of people talking about intune deployment, I don't really know much about this is this a replacement for WDS/SCCM.

 

Does anyone fully use this ? Any good guides to get this setup

There isn't really an Intune deployment. You either join the device to Intune manually or you use AutoPilot, which automatically joins a registered new device to your InTune. By registered I mean either your supplier has added them via a portal or you have used a script to add their details to your InTune.

 

So we added the devices we wanted on InTune with a script and now use MDT, seperate from our SCCM, to wipe the device with a blank customised fresh image. Once the new user config starts it joins it to InTune.

It's not feature complete in line with SCCM. It has its uses, remote workers etc. For desktops I think SCCM is still the way to go. Intune is very light touch management.
