chrisjako Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Has anyone actually got this working? We are fully fledged with onedrive and SSO, our clients are on windows 10 1903, my devices are Azure ADjoined everything looks normal for dsregcmd /status I've been following the troubleshooting guide, ESR is enabled for all users and devices in the azure portal, I personally had an Azure Active Directory Premium license however i'm wondering if its not working because as all my users need one too?
Mr.Ben Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 I have it working (cloud only users though). All of my users have always had a AZ AD P1 license though...
chrisjako Posted January 13, 2020 Author Posted January 13, 2020 I think you need AAD P1 or P2. My account has p1 license assigned I was assuming though, that like enabling licensing assignment to groups then all you need is one admin account with p1 to enable the function Regardless ESR doesn’t work for me either, it’s not registered in the console when I check : “ Under Show, select Devices syncing settings and app data to show sync status.”

Ours are all in premise with azure ad connect Do you pay £4.72 per user per month? We have 2200 users in total so I’ll look into uev if that’s the cause

This year we are moving to a Campus agreement and M365 for £41.90 per FTE per annum (again with Student rights)
Mr.Ben Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 I can buy also buy P1 on its own for £4.65 per FTE per annum
chrisjako Posted January 17, 2020 Author Posted January 17, 2020 I can buy also buy P1 on its own for £4.65 per FTE per annum Yes sorry i got it wrong thats what i paid for my 2 AAD p1 licences However paying that for 265 FTE just for ERS seems excessive for a feature which used to be free, despite it no longer being developed i've implemented UEV, today should be my last day of testing before i roll it out

We keep looking at extra services (Streams/Teams E3 for live events) and I looked at switching to M365 licenses - Were you able to do this with less than 1000 FTE users & still able to buy on prem server licenses via OVS ? It's all a bit confusing!
chrisjako Posted April 22, 2020 Author Posted April 22, 2020 Yes you can still buy on premises licenses Been told each staff m365 licence you buy you get 40 free student ones I never went ahead though as I started looking into UEV but then covid19 hit and my attention was diverted
