abillybob Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Hi All Hopefully one of you can shed more light on this than I can. We have recently moved to MalwareBytes Cloud Solution from their on-prem solution although for some reason I've only noticed some computers come up on the cloud system and upon checking other computers they haven't installed the software when the user has logged in? I've checked the GPO, made sure that the share has full control and ensured the GPO is linked to the correct OU but nothing still. It seems to show itself when running a GPResult command so the computer is seeing the GPO but it's giving me a bunch of error message as to why it's not applying and I'm not sure what it's trying to tell me. I've tried to attach the GPReport but Edugeek wouldn't let me but I could the event viewer logs, if any of you can tell me why the thing might be playing up it'd be a big help! Thanks in advance!!
bald_pig Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 PC is logging on before group policy can finish processing, set Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Group Policy > Policy > Startup policy processing Start at 30, try 60 and 90 if it still isn't long enough
abillybob Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 Cheer mate! Just to be sure is this the correct setting to change as it's slightly different to what you said?
abillybob Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 So I've done what you said and it's removed the errors at the top of the GPResult so that's a plus but the application still won't install. I've run another GPResult and as you can see the PC is picking up 90seconds worth of delay but says it couldn't install the software as it's awaiting a restart? I've restarted the PC after the GPO was applied but it still won't show it's face?
bald_pig Posted December 5, 2019 Posted December 5, 2019 Under Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System, do you have "Always wait for the network at startup and logon" enabled? If not, try enabling it.
abillybob Posted December 5, 2019 Author Posted December 5, 2019 Fixed Seemed after a while just to work which was confusing but ho-hey! Thanks @bald_pig for your help!
