sophos reporting

we recently install Sophos XG its a great bit of kit, but the reporting side of it seems to be quite clunky I was looking at fastview.

 

Anyone use 3rd party tools for the reporting side of there xg.

As has been mentioned a few times, Fastvue is the only one really capable out there we found. We're trialing it at the moment with a vue (sorry!) to purchasing after half term.

If you're a bit of a wiz though I believe you can pull the same thing off yourself; it works entirely from syslog so if you can find a way to parse, collate and sort the data from XG's syslog you'll be able to narrow those reports down easily.

 

However one thing Fastvue does that sticks out for us is instant alerting, an email to whomever you chose for certain category hits; something we have turned on for Suicide categories. Goes a bit crazy during some PSHE lessons obviously but worthwhile.
