atds99 Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 When people are trying to open links etc within outlook 2016 they are unable to as it has a pop up saying windows out of momory or resources. thought it might be an issue with ram so tried it on my machine and is saying the same thing. tried it on the windows 7 test pc and works fine so is this just an issue with windows 10 devices and any suggestions
ZeroHour Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 What type of network cards are in the pc's? I had a problem with an intel driver on my machine where it would eat ram but task manager wouldnt reveal what was using the ram. It's a long shot though. 1
Arthur Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Do you have any add-ins that might be incompatible with Outlook? e.g. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/reference/incompatibilities-between-office-and-adob Do you still get the Out of Memory error if you start Outlook in safe mode? https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4026478/outlook-open-outlook-in-safe-mode 1
atds99 Posted October 17, 2019 Author Posted October 17, 2019 Not sure off the top of my head because it on a number of different machines from different brands like hp acer etc, i put windows 10 on a windows 7 machine it was working on to test and it still gives the error message thanks for the thought ill have a look at any dodgy drivers
atds99 Posted October 17, 2019 Author Posted October 17, 2019 Nothing i can see that are incompatible, as i removed and it persists with the error even when it is started in safe mode thanks for the try though
Domino Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Have you tried disabling hardware acceleration? maybe it means video memory... Another thing that *might* cause issues like that is a Kerberos ticket size being over the configured max - although I would expect that to be worse on Win7 than 10 so can probably discount it for the time being.
