fiza Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 We have a couple of reports of computers randomly rebooting. We have been running Windows 10 since beginning of term. Same computers had Windows 7 on previously and we had no issues. Any ideas please?
william_tropico Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 (edited) What does Event Viewer say on the machines that reboot? Any driver installs Edit: On a machine that restarts go to System Properties > Startup and Recovery Settings > Untick Automatically restart on system failure. This was if it does BSOD you can see the error code Edited September 27, 2019 by william_tropico spelling 1

This was if it does BSOD you can see the error code It's not BSOD. The user can see it actually logoff. It doesnt seem to go into any error state.
Techie-v2 Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 As @william_tropico says, the event viewer system log will tell you what or who initiated the shutdown
william_tropico Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 The user can see it actually logoff. Is there anything in Task Scheduler? Have you got an application that manages the computers remotely for startup/shutdown at certain times of day?
