Koldov Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 *Improvement (new security feature)... Trying to remote into our Mac mini using VNC viewer. I did have the spinning cursor as described here: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/342161/macos-mojave-remote-access-login-screen-stuck-on-infinite-loading-spinner Now I don't get a spinning cursor, but just get the log-on page and can't enter the password or click anything on the screen (read-only). I have managed to get into it locally and tried to set things up as directed here: https://help.realvnc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016134372-Remote-access-to-Mac-OS-Mojave-10-14-is-view-only To do this, open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility. Click the lock button to make changes, and + to add a new app to the list allowed to control your computer. Navigate to /Library/vnc/vncagent and select the Open button: However 'vnc/vncagent' doesn't appear in the list to select... What am I missing? Mac noob... be gentle, please don't go all SSH in this and SUDO that...

But in one of the many attempts to troubleshoot this (mainly going from the first link in my post) I followed this screenshot.... Mine reads as below, but my confusion stems from the fact that in their screenshot it is not enebled... From your link there is a slight difference in terminology: 3. Enable Apple Remote Desktop within the Services panel. Anyway, looks like we are all good for now... Cheers!

EDIT: So I have removed the 'VNC viewers may control screen with password:' option and ticked 'anyone may request permission to control the screen'. Less secure I guess, but working for the moment...
