HP 280 G2 SFF - Issues on Windows 10 with WOL from shutdown "Hard disk 3F0 error"

Hi All,

I've search on here for people with the same issue as me and its seems to be an issue with the realtek driver along with Windows 10.

I have just re-imaged a lab of computers and now when they are shutdown, they get the dreaded "Hard Disk 3F0 error" when I send a WOL packet to each PC.

I never had this issue with Windows 7 on these PCs, so I leads me to believe its a Realek GBE driver issue, that is struggling to turn on a PC from an S5 soft off state.

Funny thing is that if I turn off the power and back on again, I can boot the PCs with a WOL packet.

Did anyone else have the same issue and has solved it?

The BIOS and network card drivers are all setup correctly for WOL as it works once the mains switch is turned off the on again.

Thanks

Andy
