Senior IT Technician – Independent School (SW London)

£30,000 - £35,000 full-time / permanent (plus lunches & gym etc.)

Our client, a prestigious Independent School in South West London, are looking for an experienced Senior IT Technician to join their team and provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to all users, resolve technical calls escalated from IT technicians and manage the first line service desk function.

 

As the Senior IT Technician, your other main duties will include implementing, supporting, maintaining and managing IT services, networking, IT security, email, and disaster recovery plus advanced technical support for desktop, server & networking issues

 

To be considered for this role, you will have previously worked in a similar position with a school or college, and have experience of the following:

· Windows Server 2012 / 2016 (and 2019 desirable)

· Windows 7/8/10

· Virtualised Servers (Hyper-V)

· Active Directory and Group Policies

· TCP/IP, DHCP & DNS

· Monitoring systems (PRTG)

· Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, VLANS) (Cisco, HP Switches)

· Scripting skills (e.g. shell scripts)

· Google G Suite, MS Office 365, MS Azure

· Deployment solutions (WDS, SCCM)
