Music Department Software

Hi all

 

We are looking to get some software to take the burden out of spreadsheets, endless photocopying and hours of copying and pasting information from our MIS (SIMS). Can anyone recommend a decent Music Solutions Package that can manage invoicing, timetables, exam entry, pupil information (instrument played/grade etc)?

 

We have looked at

> We Know Data - Music School Manager

> Schoolbase Furlong - Maestro.

 

Does anyone use these currently or can anyone recommend any other solutions out there that can integrate with SIMS to pull student information?

I may be missing a trick here but can't all of the above be done within SIMS?

Absolutely, SIMS should be doing this and FMS/whatever finance system you use for the rest... absolutely no need for anything else. We (secondary with decent music dept) certainly don't, nor do any schools I know of in the local area! Sounds more like a procedural problem than one that should be solved with software.
