[sims] Sims/Nova Make double and triple periods show as one lesson

We have a very unusual timetable as all of our lessons are different lengths ( Some are 20 mins, 40 mins, 1 hour, 2 hours)

 

On Nova I have 20 min 'periods' and then some single, some double lessons and so on.

 

When the timetable displays it displays each 20 minute period individually.

 

Is there any way of getting it to show up double and triple periods as 1 lesson rather then 2 or 3?

 

 

So I want Mondays English to show as 1 English lesson across P1 and P2 rather than showing as 2 diff lessons, And Tuesdays Food I want to show as 1 lesson spanning P1 to 5.

You would need to adjust the sessions so that the subjects followed the necessary format for the length you required. You may find that you would need to relax the one per day rule on other parts depending on how the rest of the day was structured for your timetable.

 

So you sessions for in what you posted would be for example English DDD, Maths DD, Science T, PE T, Social Skills S, Reading S, Food P, Communication D.

 

On the timetable that's produced, it will still show each slot as a timetabled lesson as per the grid above, so don't know if it's exactly answering your question?

The grid Ive posted is what currently happens in Sims. Im ok in Nova using sessions and making them doubles etc. I want the grid timetable on sims to show one lesson of english rather than 2 back to back if that makes sense. Thank you

As far as I know that's not possible, all SIMS is showing is the lesson for each period which will need to show something regardless as each part of the double/tripple etc could be held in different rooms and by different teachers.

you need to change MIS to Progresso which still uses Scheduler afaik and that can indeed do what you want perfectly

 

Nova-T is a POS. Can SIMS itself even render a timetable like that?
