SIMS Discover database will not update

When trying to deploy the SIMS Discover Spring 2019 update the database update is failing with the error:

 

Unable to connect to master or target server 'discover'. You must have a user with the same password in master or target server 'discover'.

 

Discover was working before I updated SIMS to 7.186 as far as I am aware (at least its been a whole half term since anything got changed on the SQL server).

 

Has anyone come across this before? or know of a way to fix it?
