Uber22 Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Hey We recently move to office 356 with just A1 licences. I am looking to implement sso but I have a few things to ask. 1. our office 365 and local domain names are different eg local is xzy.domain.com and office 365 is domain.com 2. Our usernames are slight difference in some users also non of the users have there email address in the ad accounts. 3.anythibv I have missed that I will need to configure. Thanks
kevin_lane Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 have a look a this not sure if this helps or not https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/prepare-a-non-routable-domain-for-directory-synchronization
Sam_Brown Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 For number 1 you should be able to create a new UPN to reflect the domain used in O365. Quick guide below to show you how to do this. Give it a test with one user before changing it for everyone https://docs.ukfast.co.uk/operatingsystems/windows/windowsadministration/addupnsuffix.html For number 2 ideally you want your username to match the primary e-mail address in O365. This will make life a lot easier when configuring outlook etc as I believe if it requests username and password to connect it will default to the primary e-mail address and not the username.
