Android\Windows 10 Combi Interactive Screens Central Management

Hi All,

 

first time posting in the AV forum!

 

We are looking to purchase screens to replace our projectors (already looked into interactive ones but decided on the TV's)

 

A lot of them come with Android built in for whizzy apps and purchases, but does anyone know how to lock these down with a central console or something similar? I know they can go through our filtering, but it doesn't stop a user connecting to a rogue access point.

 

I'm stuck between something more traditional and basic or the potential teaching benefits of a giant android tablet, but lack the specifics on how to keep things under control (75" angry birds anyone?)

None of our interactive screens have remote controls - they're controlled by RS232 panels so when you turn the system on they select HDMI 1 and that's as much as we use the screen for - all other functions are done by other kit. Not bulletproof but simple.

Hi,

 

I can advise on the BenQ screens, both interactive (RP, RM) and signage screens (ST), none of our Android panels have access to the PlayStore so you cannot install traditional apps. On both thypes of panel we have our own BenQ Suggest App store which only have appropriate apps, on the interactive there are specific educational apps. It is possible to side loads apps (if you know the code and process) however you require the .apk file.

thanks @BenQ_ChrisM. there is also our back end control of the premium panels with our cloud based services, called BenQ AMS. which included free with certain models and has no ongoing cost. here's a video better than i can explain it!
