Does anyone know if it is possible to configure our Windows 10 users to be automatically signed into Office 2016 Pro plus after signing into Windows? We are syncing our user AD accounts with O365 using Azure AD Connect and have enabled sso. Modern authentication has been enabled on the tenant

Have followed this guide https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/how-to-connect-sso-quick-start and it auto logs in to Office 365 with IE and chrome fine. When you open up Word and click sign in it prompts for an email address. It signs in without the need of a password. Is this normal behaviour or can it be set to auto sign in without then need for the email address?

Cheers.

The docs seem to indicate you need the latest verison of office 365 installed.

Use the latest versions of Office 365 clients: To get a silent sign-on experience with Office 365 clients (Outlook, Word, Excel, and others), your users need to use versions 16.0.8730.xxxx or above.

It's supposed to be automatic. In my experience, it sometimes is and sometimes isn't....

I'm sure there's a solution, but I've read a lot people complaining about the same thing.
