Bondi Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Good Evening, Had a nosey around on the forum but not really made a proper post. I had a job that involves a school uploading via the ParentPay Upload Client, everything has been migrated to the new MIS server but the ParentPay Upload Client service is not on the new server but present on the old server? It has MIS:Sync which I thought that does the same thing but I am wrong? I have documentation on how to install the upload client but have no idea where I can get the installer and how to intergrate to with their new database. Things are a little tricky as the old SIMS server is still online and operational and users are reporting they are committing to the wrong database, unlikely with how the clients are set up but still worrying lol. Anybody who has dealt with the upload client help would be much appreiciated, guide doesn't give me much. KR Bondi
tech-man Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 It’s either using the simsconnect.ini or in the missync app itself in options you can specify the sims server. 1
Bondi Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 MIS:Sync is present on the old server with no credentials in but has the ParentPay upload client installed and looks to be functional, I believe it doesn't work on some occasions due to the account which is assigned to the service which is why we need it migrating over to the new server essentially. MIS:Sync is present on the new server and connected to the SIMS database on the new server as it should. I am just not sure how the ParentPay Upload Client and the database communicate as it seems to be working here and there despite being on a different server and domain.
Bondi Posted March 4, 2019 Author Posted March 4, 2019 ParentPay Upload Client has the school ID logged in and showing as Client Status Running, I don't have much exposure on these side systems so ParentPay and MIS:Sync are new to me so any help appreiciated!
