MVLSC - signing in with a Work or a Microsoft account...?

I feeling a little dazed and confused....

 

I have received an email to update our HUP program details and sign in to the new MSfB site.

 

There are two main parts to the confusion I think.

 

One created by our LEA and possibly one by me...

 

On the MVLSC site I must have made a sign in for myself at some point years ago, I used my 'work' email address which was our LEA learning platform (with email included).

 

The email is based on a O365 and at the time it was obviously made by our LEA 'IT department' as a 'work' account.

 

However, I have never used this as a Microsoft 'work' account and never signed into anything using it (other than our Learning Platform). Unfortunately, I have used the same email address to set up MVLSC obviously and this now prompts that the email address is used for more than one account... and I have to choose 'Microsoft account' and not 'Work' account.

 

To make matters worse, when I try to follow the instructions for the HUP program and click the link for the MSfB site, once I put the email address in it says "Taking You To Your Organisations Sign-In Page" and actually takes me to the log in page for our LEA Learning Platform....

 

Here I have to put in the username and password for my LEA 'Work' account. Once loaded it says "Sorry, your organisation is not eligible for this benefit. (CV: 2L8HRNRD60K9psqm.4.19)" Which I'm guessing is correct since it is linking to my 'work' account and not the account I set up on the VLSC!!!

 

But honestly I also don't want my account at MSfB account to be based on our LEA Learning Platform email account, as it may well be that one day we move away from using them for our email provision.

 

I just can't see a way round it, as I can only put the one email address in and it doesn't give a choice of accounts...

Have you tried signing in to the MS account first, then clicking the link for the MSfB site? It should pick up the logged in account.
