[sims] SOLUS 3 Console on another workstation

Hi All,

 

Apologies for the possibly silly question, but I can't find an obvious answer!

 

Is it possible to install the SOLUS 3 console on a workstation, to remotely administer the SOLUS 3 server installation?

Yes it is. It's been a while since I've done one but I think all you need to do is run the SOLUS3DeploymentServerUIInstaller_x64.msi associated with the version of S3 you are using on the new workstation and point it to the server during the setup process. Once done you should see it in SOLUS under Settings | SOLUS3 (Show SOLUS3 targets)

Awesome, thank you! Do you know where I would get that .msi from? I installed SOLUS some time back so my original installation files are for a much older version. It's then kept itself up to date. I've had a look in the SOLUS program files folder on the server and can only find the agent MSIs.

Ignore that; I've realised I can download and extract the installer via SOLUS 3 itself. Will give it a go now, thanks!
