FN-GM Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Hello, Does anyone know how to prevent the attached from appearing please? Thanks
mrwoberts Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Been meaning to sort this out for ages and came across this. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/privacy/windows-personal-data-services-configuration#diagnostic-opt-in-change-notifications If this doesn't work then I'm interested in the correct solution. 4
FN-GM Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Thanks for the link! I have the 1809 ADMX files loaded and I don't have the "Data Collection" folder in group policy. Any thoughts please? @Arthur might :-) EDIT: I need to look harder! It is there!!
FN-GM Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Thanks. It seems to have worked for the Diagnostic pop-up. Does anyone have any clues for the firewall please?
mrwoberts Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I'm really glad the telemetry notification is fixed, I'm implementing that one next week :-) I don't recall receiving a firewall status notification. Could that be something new with 1809 - I'm using 1803. When you click on the popup, what is it notifying you about? Is there a problem or is it just being chatty?
HereIGoAgain2601 Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I found something last week about turning off notifications from the security centre. It was a registry key for current user. Will check if it works and post as not applied it yet.
FN-GM Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 Think I have found the settings for the firewall notification. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/threat-protection/windows-defender-security-center/wdsc-hide-notifications 1
