Tefters Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Afternoon all, Office 365 encrypted email setup, has been for nearly a year. Only just noticed however that Microsoft have pulled the OME viewer from the AppStore (I got it installed and still works...). How do you we now get Apple devices to use the 1 time code option if they don't have a MS and Google account associated to their email address? On iPhones as an example you press the 1 time passcode, go to the email to copy the code but then this closes the original attachment open and you have to open a new one which needs a new code... This is what the OME viewer was designed for but doesn't exist anymore? I've read about other RMS possibilities but they don't specify anything for sending external encrypted emails.
tmoon-mint Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Seems to be working for me using the Outlook app without the need for the separate OME app. I tried one time passcode and sign in and both seemed to work without issue.
Tefters Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 How did you get to the code to copy it and then back to the passcode box or did you copy it from a notification?
tmoon-mint Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 I did 3D touch on the notification and was able to see the rest of the message and the code. For devices that dont have 3D touch I think a long press would work the same way. 1
Tefters Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 After I posted I stumbled on that method. I think on non 3D touch you can just swipe down.
