Deploying iBooks to iPads via MDM with managed Apple ID

Hi all

I am running about 200 iPads on AirWatch and Apple School manager. I have been exploring managed Apple IDs for staff with a view to installing iBooks amongst all the other potential advantages but I cannot get it to work. Can anyone recommend a clear set of up to date instructions on deploying iBooks (as opposed to apps) using Managed Apple IDs?

For this to work you require...

 

1. You need to have properly user assigned iPads in the MDM solution, with users names and email addresses

2. You create the Managed Apple ID's for users, then print or email these to users, get users to sign into these on the iPad

3. MDM's like Jamf allow you to create a special Managed Apple ID VPP invite for these users, users don't get the invite, it is automatically accepted. I don't know whether Airwatch supports this.

4. You can now deploy iBooks (via the VPP store) to users.

 

iBooks can not be revoked from a user.
