ozydave Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 We had another power outage last night for 5 hours or so. The only server we are having a problem with is the SIMS server. Initially none of the SQL services would start but they did eventually. Form a client PC I can log into SIMS as can other users, but all is not well. This is the error I get if I click the “view Details” on the ‘my timeline’ panel If I try and make a change in my personal record, and click save I get this message ( I tried to change my staff record from ‘Mr’ to ‘Mrs’ ) The errors seem to point to msxmlsql.dll This file does exist in c:\program files\Microsoft SQL server\110\shared folder Rebooting the server has no effect. My sql version is Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP3) (KB3072779) - 11.0.6020.0 (X64) Anyone had any similar problem? Cheers
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 If I remember correctly, the SQL21012 installation media has a repair option, I'd suggest starting there. After that do a database integrity check (DBCC checkdb) through SQL Management Studio 1
ozydave Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 cheers, just trying the repair option first, if no joy will try SP4 :-(
ozydave Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 Well, running the SQL repair seems to have done the job. I now have my office window open to let the smell of you know what out. cheers again
