Accepting contactless payments for catering?

We currently have a big building project going on in school (new sixth form block) and the idea has surfaced of making some money from it

 

We currently use Cunninghams contactless catering system and we have our existing sixth form diner just next to the building site. We want to be able to offer bacon sandwiches, coffee and anything else to the builders but accept payments using a contactless card system.

 

I've spoken with Cunninghams who have explained how I can easily set things up on their tills. My question is, has anybody else done this? If so:

 

a) Any recommendations on card reader provider? I'm looking at iZettle at the moment as cheapest for the device + transaction fees

b) If you are doing it, how do you break down the sales information for the finance office?

Our catering staff offer contactless payment as an option. We have 2 iZettle devices but these sync to 2 Android tablets. They just have a button on the till which says something like "card sale" and then the till operator puts the cost on the Android tablet iZettle app and the customer waves their card infront of the iZettle reader.

 

When looking at the sales report anything that is recorded under "card sales" was paid for using a contactless payment card.

We use Biostore not Cunninghams.

This sounds almost exactly like our proposed idea, so at least it works!

 

Do you have any issues with the amount of transactions that go through with the finance office? Ours is worried about tallying up all the transactions that could go through in a day with the card sales device? But I think they are over thinking it.
