Doublefirst Engage / SQL link to Google Sheets

Hi,

 

Anyone have any experience with linking DF Engage through to Google Sheets through some form of SQL connection. There are products that allow read access to a remote SQL database - it would be extremely useful for us to be able to do this.

 

We are also keen to be able to write to the SQL database directly, so we could create our own custom admissions forms rather than the DF form, which lacks somewhat on the UI/UX front.

No experience linking the two, however it should be fairly straight forward if you have control of the server on site. A number of programs extract data directly from the SQL remotely, you just need to allow secure access through the firewall.

 

Writing SQL is a no-no. Without a lot of risk and signing disclaimers this won't be supported. You can however code something using their APIs. Drop them a support request and see what's available. We've got a web development company in Spain currently looking to do the same. I'm just trying to find out what the exact requirements are because there are a lot of things which can purportedly be changed through the CSS which is supported.
