Just downloaded Server 2016 from VLSC only to find it's version 1607. We have an OVS agreement covering desktop and servers so expected to be getting the latest version. Do I need to ask MS to make 1803 available to me?

I had an issue recently where some KMS keys were not showing in the portal. Apparently, it comes down to me having to specifically request what I require rather than, as it used to be, the licences popping up automatically on the portal.

Same for your server downloads?

I thought that might be the case. Do you have their contact details?

Our reseller got in touch with Microsoft on our behalf. After a little to-and-fro, it got sorted. It is my understanding that we probably would not have reached the right guy by ourselves as quickly.

Server 2016 v1607 is the latest version of 2016 with the GUI

Server 2016 V1803 is server core only

Server 2019 has been pulled after the windows 10 1809 data loss issues as it was based on the same build (1809)

Wow I didn't know v1803 was core only I'll have to stick with v1607 in that case

MS got back to me and said Server 2016 v1803 was listed on VLSC as 'Windows Server Datacenter'. I've not had time to try it but the notes mention it's version 1803.
