FN-GM Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) Hello, Has anyone deployed this please? I am looking it to proxy traffic to our RDS setup. What setup guide did you use please and how much did it cost? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/manage-apps/application-proxy-integrate-with-remote-desktop-services Thanks Edited September 26, 2018 by FN-GM
itwasntme Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I had a play with azure ad app proxy late last year looking at a proof of concept for presenting some of our in-house apps in o365 as opposed to locally in moodle (which will go!). I used AADAP to connect to an internal sql db with asset info (equip name, make, model, purchase date, assigned_to, that sort of info) and presented in a searchable PowerApps app. Sadly didn't get any further than that, but proxying RDS intrigues me.
ful56_uk Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 We are doing this at the moment, one problem/draw back is the html 5 client isnt support and doesnt work with the Azure web application proxy at the moment. 2
FN-GM Posted October 3, 2018 Author Posted October 3, 2018 Thats the whole reason I want it. Typical of MS to half bake it! I have since found out that it will be free on EES licensing so that is something.
free780 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 It helps you not having to allow inbound connections through your firewall. You can also enforce 2FA etc. Has anybody tried it with desktop apps that use sql connections?
