Ruckus Wi-Fi throughput issues 2.4GHz

Running Zoneflex R500 and zf7363 on a zonedirector 3050 version 9.8.2.0 build 15.

 

We have had complaints about laptops being slow and didn't realise at the time that the root issue is the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band. I sat on numerous laptops with a Wi-Fi point literally within a metre of the devices with only the test devices connected and they all only managed 350kb/s transferring a file.

 

A different laptop connected to the same access point on 5G managed 5-6mb/s

 

Pings are awful sometimes as high as 2 seconds but up and down spiking. Basically 2.4 is unusable at this point in time. We have tried different buildings, different access points and still the same. Out of ideas with it

 

All laptops tested were running either Realtek, Qualcomm or intel N adapters. All running Windows 10

Just upgraded to latest maintenance release of 9.8.3 will check in the morning if all is ok. Didnt realise these were free updates
