AQA Science Trilogy (8464)

Many of our pupils took AQA Science Trilogy (8464) for the first time this year. My question relates to when a pupil receives 4-3 grades - does anyone know if we can count the 4 as 1 towards the old 5+ 4-9/A*-C? We use 4Matrix and it looks like this isn't counting such pupils as 1 - but I've produced a check spreadsheet and I've split into two and counted the one 4 - but 4Matrix has me worried now!

"Regardless of the award taken, higher or foundation, a 4-3 or 3-3 is still a pass, but it is not a standard pass, nor a strong pass and therefore will count in the exact same way in any performance indicator calculation. If they count in the Ebacc measure, the point scores related to those grades will count towards the Ebacc Average Point Score and the awarded graded will count in the same way as it did before this announcement in other Science related measures." from https://myaccount.capita-cs.co.uk/Notifications/ofqual-tier-gcse/

Thanks for the reply. We're still using the old 5 A*-C inc En and Ma calc, particularly in marketing - I initially assumed a 4-3 would count as one pass, but looks like they need to pass both elements for 2 to be counted. Thanks again.
