Play Expo London - 11-12 Aug 2018

You lucky people (if you live in the SE), you finally get a big Play Expo of your own!

It's on this weekend in London and if you have never been to one before I can highly recommend it, especially if retro gaming is your thing!

If you've never been to one before, they're great

I remember a few years back at the one in Blackpool, one of the biggest queues was for the table full of Binatone pong machines!

I was at the PlayExpo in Glasgow a few months ago. It was awesome playing all those old consoles and arcade machines

 

One thing I would say is get there in good time and make a beeline for the motorised Space Harrier / Afterburner cabinets as the queues for them were crazy later in the day.

I'm looking forwards to the big Blackpool one in October which is, thankfully, less than a half hour dive for me.

The Blackpool PlayExpo sounds amazing as it's a retro special event with 120 arcade cabinets! It's such a long drive/journey for me though it's at a point where I'd probably have to spend longer travelling than I would at the event itself unfortunately! It's a shame it's so far away otherwise I'd be there for sure

We have this, The Arcade Club, not far away in Bury which has two floors, one of which is a 'modern' arcade with VR kit and Switches etc.

If ever you fancy a road trip, this is the one to aim for. Cheap to get in and everything on free play.

 

 

I'm taking the kids on Thursday as the second floor, which is usually over 18's only, is open to all ages
