Dear wonderful people of the interwebs

now I have the trauma of picking up broken pieces behind me....time for something new

I want to set up subject level tracking sheets in SIMS.

The idea being this is where topic test results and the like get stored, rather than on a random selection of excel sheets, notebooks, and scraps of paper.

so I am after advice as to the best way to structure this (keeping in mind that SIMS is not my first language)

my initial thoughts are

a set of aspects labeled Assessment for 10 assessments, not linked to a result set so they just sit there.

this seems

a - a bit basic

b - probably the wrong way to use SIMS

c- time-consuming to make all the aspects for all the subjects

so I have been poking around in the 'progress grids' section to see if this might have better functionality, but I am not sure it is any more useful than a bunch of simple mark sheets.

When it comes down to it - has anyone else set up department tracking sheets (ie all the tests, not just the end of term data collections) in SIMS and if so - what route did you take or would you recommend?

has anyone set up a similar set of sheets, and
