ive checked my mx records and i believe they are correct (ex server1.mydomain.com). Anytime anyone wants to send mail from the outside world they have to type [email protected]. According to the somewhat helpful book im using to aid me, it says that the way i have this set is correct, any ideas, it would be nice to be able to type [email protected] and have email sent that way.

Be careful if using webmail!

If it is setup like this then squirrelmail will use the domain name that you have in the server admin.

For example if you have server1.example.com squirrelmail will use this as well.

You need to change the domain name by either running the conf.pl ( i think its that) in terminal or just edit the config file in the /etc/squirrelmail/ folder.

If you don't or haven't already squirrelmail will send mail in webmail with the server1.example.com as well.
